After getting flooded out year after year at our camps by the bridge, we secured a permanent home in Chitina in 2019. We have since been developing our campground and currently offer, 12 sites for either a tent or RV. We also offer four premium outfitted tent sites for those who don't want the hassle of packing and setting up their own equipment. Camp is within walking distance to our food truck (The Grubstake), country store and Uncle Tom's tavern. Our camp ideally situated for fishing the Copper and as a base for travels down the McCarthy Road to Kennicott and McCarthy inside Wrangell-St Elias National Park!
We have been a leader in the "full service" dipnet charter business starting on the Kenai River in 2013. Since then, we have grown to be the largest dipnet charter in Alaska and the only one licensed and permitted to operate in all of Southcentral Alaska's dipnet fisheries. We lead the way in safety, techniques, quality equipment and guide qualifications. Setting the bar once again, our campground is another dipnet industry first! Join us this summer!
