Copper River wild Subsistence fish wheel wild salmon tour

Glennallen subsistence - "Dipnetting Above the bridge"

Trip Description

MUST BE ALASKAN RESIDENT TO PARTICIPATE

This is a fully guided and outfitted trip on the Copper River for sockeye and king salmon.  We will demonstrate location specific dipnetting techniques and work with you throughout the charter to perfect those skills. We help you remove fish from your net, bonk, gill and place in totes. This gets your net back in the water faster to maximize your catch potential. Charter time includes travel time to and from the fishery and is about 5-1/2 hours start to finish.

The Copper River is divided into two sub-districts for management purposes. Users may participate in ONLY ONE of these two fisheries in any given year.

The Glennallen Subdistrict is classified as a subsistence fishery, and either fish wheels or dipnets are allowable gear. No sport fishing license is required for this fishery. These permits are NOW available online.
